Overview

We are seeking your views on the Council’s proposals to improve the pedestrian environment on Brill Place and Phoenix Road.

Brill Place and Phoenix Road have recently been confirmed as part of the Olympic Route Network for pedestrians, linking King’s Cross, St Pancras and Euston stations. The objective of this scheme is to enhance pedestrian accessibility and environment on this route.

The measures proposed are shown in the attached leaflets are are:

¨ Extending the already approved raised table (raised road) on Ossulston Street, at its junction with Phoenix Road, to cover the whole junction.

¨ Extending the raised table (raised road) on Phoenix Road, at its junction with Werrington Street to cover the whole junction.

These measures will enhance the route by providing step free crossing points for pedestrians and improving their safety through slowing down vehicular traffic.
