Overview

Camden is working with John Lyon's to develop a Camden Young People's Foundation (YPF) and would like to invite organisations from the voluntary community sector to consider nominating themselves as a member of the YPF Shadow Board of Trustees.

The YPF will be a newly registered charity made up of organisations that works with children and young people (CYP).

Camden would like to support the development of a YPF Shadow Board that will assume full responsiblity for the governance of the YPF on an interim basis - ensuring it is effectively and properly developed to meet its overall purposes as set out in the governing document.

Shadow Board members will consist of key stakeholders including; CYP, the local authority, police, Clinical Commissioning Groups, and corporate sector. There will be four Board members from the CYP, three from youth support, and one from play.

At this stage the Shadow Board is expected to meet quarterly.

What happens next

A panel consisting of Council officers, Cabinet member, and young people will select the members of the Shadow Board from the nominations. Notification will be given to the selected members and wider CYP partnership by17 July 2016.
