Developing HealthWatch Camden

Overview

Interested in helping to shape the future of local health and social care services?

We are currently developing 'HealthWatch Camden': a new local champion for people who use health and adult social care in the borough.  From October 2012, it will be the job of HealthWatch to help make sure local people's views are heard, so that services can be better designed around the people who use them.

Between now and April 2012, the council is seeking to speak to as many people as possible to decide what HealthWatch Camden should look like as an organisation.  How can we make sure it is really able to influence decisions? Should it be like 'Which?' or something completely different?

Your views are vital in helping us make these decisions.  This survey is mainly for people who don't know much about HeathWatch.  If you have been involved in discussions about HealthWatch before you might find it more useful to follow and contribute towards the development of HealthWatch as we go on our interactive site.

What do we mean by 'health and social care' services?

Social care services includes support for all ages - everything from foster care, support at home, day centres, Young People's Hubs and care homes to equipment and personal budgets.

Healthcare services include everything from GP surgeries, doctors, nurses, dentists and community health services (such as school nurses and health visitors) to mental health services, children's services, hospitals and maternity units.
