Market engagement; Domestic abuse services
Overview
The Council is proposing to tender Domestic Abuse Refuge, Floating Support and Community Based Services for a new contract to start on 5th October 2015. The contract will be for an initial period of two years with the option for two extensions of one year each.
London Borough of Camden is committed to protecting those at risk of or fleeing domestic abuse and will continue to prioritise services that provide this group with a place of safety and specialist support . The service will:
- Provide refuge accommodation to those women and children fleeing domestic abuse
- Provide a specialist domestic violence advice and floating support service
- Provide support to women from BME communities, especially South Asian and Somali women, to live their lives free from domestic violence and its impact on them and their children.
We would like to receive feedback on the questions in the attached document relating to the Council's proposals for retendering this service, and any other comments that you may have.
