Library delivery service feasibility study
Overview
Hello, and many thanks for taking the time to complete this short survey for Camden Library Service. In response to some previous research results we are looking at whether or not our community would like a delivery service for library products. This would be over and above what we provide already but would supplement our existing service, and enable us to reach new audiences and provide a convenient service for those customers who have commitments that make it difficult for them to get to our libraries during our opening times.
If, as a result of this survey, we do decide to trial a delivery service, we would be looking to deliver books, CDs and DVDs to your home or office for either an item by item fee or a monthly subscription charge. Please rest assured that this will in no way diminish the existing library service. It will not divert staff time, nor is it a means to reduce library opening hours, and those people who through infirmity or disability are not able to visit a library will continue to enjoy a free delivery service. What we are proposing is a way of providing an extra service for our customers.
The purpose of this survey is to look at whether or not you would use this service and if you would - how much would you use it and how much would you be prepared to pay. If there is sufficient demand, and if we can make the service pay for itself, then we will be running a trial next year.
