Locally Commissioned Pharmacy Services for Camden Public Health
Overview
Camden is committed to giving people choice and control about the services they receive and the lives they lead. The Council are re-developing and re-commissioning a range of Public Health services from organisations, known as Locally Commissioned Services, which will provide quality treatment and professional advice.
The intention is to create an approved list of providers to be developed consisting of organisations who can clearly demonstrate they are suitably qualified to provide important services such as Smoking Cessation, Supervised Self-Administration, Needle Exchange and Emergency Hormonal Contraception.
The delivery of these evidence-based interventions from current providers form a key component of Camden’s Public Health programme to improve health outcomes, reduce health inequalities and prevent future demand for more costly health and social care.
What happens next
After the submission deadline has expired, all responses will be reviewed using a pass or fail approach.
Successful organisations will be requested to complete the Service Contract to formalise the arrangements for locally commissioned services.
