Why your views matter

We want to find out people’s attitudes about mental health and the levels of tolerance towards people with mental health problems in their neighbourhoods. We also want to look at the effects of anti social behaviour linked to mental health and how well we respond to complaints.   This is being undertaken both to improve services and to look at issues such as the level of stigma towards those with mental health issues.  It will inform how this can subsequently be addressed.

We will be talking to:

  • People who have made a complaint about anti-social behaviour linked to mental health

  • People who have had an anti social behaviour complaint made about them and who are suffering with mental health difficulties

  • A representative group of tenants and leaseholders about their attitudes to mental health and their response to people with mental health problems in their neighbourhoods.

  • A group of tenants and leaseholders about ways in which we can positively engage the community in a campaign to raise awareness and reduce stigma around mental health
