Greener School Awards 2016 - part of Camden in Bloom

1. Energy efficiency

Covering the measures a school is taking to reduce its energy consumption

 

2. Healthy start award for food growing

Covering how gardening and food growing is improving the students’ quality of life

 

3. Biodiversity

Covering how the school is creating habitats to maintain and improve the wildlife on their grounds

 

4. Reduce, reuse, recycle

Covering actions and campaigns the school is running about reducing waste, reusing materials and recycling

 

5. Greenest school

Schools that enter all four previous categories will be automatically entered for the Greenest school award. A strong energy efficiency entry is important here, but we are also looking for schools who have embedded environmental sustainability into everyday school life

 

For each category, a strong application will:

- focus on activities initiated by the school itself

- include photographs or other evidence of activities

- explain the results of activities and impacts on the school
