Heating and Hot Water Works Update

We have been working with our contractor Engie to put together a plan to deliver the works to your estate. We are committed to resolving the issues that some residents have faced with the heating and hot water installation. We are ready to carry out works to recommission the Heat Interface Units (HIU). Our plan is to start works at Whittington Estate in June 2020, we will be carrying out fire stopping surveys at a later date to be confirmed. Once the surveys are completed we will develop a programme to carry out the fire stopping. We will share the fire stopping programme with residents once developed.  Where poor work has been reported, we will carry these works out whilst the HIU or fire stopping works are being undertaken.

Your safety is paramount to us, we have worked with Engie to develop an approach to the works taking into account Public Health England (PHE) guidance relating to COVID-19. This includes social distancing, the use of Personal Protective Equipment and washing of hands. We have asked the contractor Engie to finalise the risk assessment and method statements to ensure safe delivery whilst carrying out the recommissioning of the HIUs. Once we have received their submission, made our observations and recommendations and received sign off from PHE regarding the approach to delivery; we will be sharing the approved ways of working with yourselves.

 We are keen to hear from you, so we can understand any concerns you may have in relation to the delivery of the works at this time. Where possible concerns will be mitigated within the method statements and we will aim to ensure that concerns raised are replied to.
