Jeygrove and Greville Scaffolding works

Closed 22 Jul 2020

Opened 21 Jul 2020

Overview

Dear resident,

External works restarting again at Vesage Court

As you know, the roof, window and safety works at Vesage Court were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic but we are now ready to restart some of the external works. Preparation works to put up the scaffolding will take place from Saturday 13 June.

Your safety is always our first priority. We are working closely with our contractors Morgan Sindall to keep residents and staff safe, following advice from our public health team. This includes making sure our contractors follow all current government guidelines, including social distancing and self-isolation measures, safe travel to and from work and regular hand washing.

To keep everyone safe, we will be regularly inspecting sites to monitor these new working arrangements.

We have reviewed your feedback and our contractor’s safety procedures against government advice. Your feedback has been passed to our contractors Morgan Sindall who are using your feedback to further develop safe working practices for future internal works.

Scaffolding work starting from 13 June

Preparation works to put up the scaffolding at Vesage Court will start from Saturday 13 June. Materials will be delivered by crane to the back of the block, which means that the car park on Greville Street will be closed – Morgan Sindall will be in contact with you if you have a parking permit to agree alternative parking arrangements as the car park will also be closed for parking and deliveries; on six Saturdays from Saturday 13 June 2020 to the Saturday 25 July 2020 (inclusive).

The base for the scaffold will be put up on Leather Lane (as before, when we started building the scaffolding in March). The works to put up the scaffolding will then begin from Monday 15 June.

Internal works starting later in the year

Some work in this programme will need to take place inside your home – for example the window works or replacing your front door – but these won’t be starting until later in the year. We will let you know more about these works and what we will be doing to make sure that you and everyone working on this project stays safe closer to the time.

If you have any questions about this letter or the works at your building, contact your contract manager John Burton on 020 7974 5897 or email john.burton@camden.gov.uk.

Yours faithfully

David Clarke Team Leader (Planned Works)
