Overview

We are currently reviewing our additional HMO licensing scheme.

Houses in multiple occupation (or HMOs) are shared homes, including house and flat shares, student homes, bedsits and some buildings converted into flats, which are occupied by three or more people who are not part of the same family. Some buildings converted into flats may also be an HMO.
