*After completing the survey, you’ll be invited to register your interest to take part in our research. If you are selected, we will invite you to take part in a 45-minute session via video call or phone to discuss your views on data use to inform Camden’s policies and procedures. After the session, we will offer each participant a £20 gift voucher in appreciation of their time. This can be spent in-store or online at over 150 popular brands in the high street (M&S, Boots, Argos and many more).

Camden Council recognises that data rights are human rights, and wishes to go beyond the legal requirements for our use of data to agree a set of ethical principles with our residents. A Resident Panel will co-design a Data Charter to reflect the agreed upon principles. Ahead of the Panel we wish to talk to a wider group of residents in the borough to understand their views about how their data is used and what they would like to see included in the Charter as well, so that it can brought to the Resident Panel.

Any personal information that you provide will be held in the strictest of confidence and your details will not be passed on to a third party. Read more about our data protection policy here: https://www.camden.gov.uk/data-protection-privacy-and-cookies.

What happens next

We will be asking 50 of the respondents to this survey to have a 1-to-1 interview to ask more in-depth questions about Camden as a handler of residents’ data. This will help our Resident Panel to consider the opinions of a wider group of their fellow residents when making decisions about what should be included in Camden’s Data Charter.

We will offer each interview participant a £20 gift voucher in appreciation of their time. This can be spent in-store or online at over 150 popular brands in the high street (M&S, Boots, Argos and many more).
