Easy read survey about help with travel for children and young people in education or training
Overview
Supporting children and young people with SEND to learn to travel independently helps them to take part in education, employment and leisure activities in their community
This policy covers travel arrangements for
• children and young people aged 5 to 16
• young people with complex special educational needs and disabilities up to the age of 25, while they remain in education or training
We want our decisions to be fair and to support independence by giving children and young people the life skills they need as they prepare for adulthood
