Around a quarter of carbon emissions in Camden come from heating and powering our homes.

Retrofit refers to making upgrades to existing properties to improve its energy efficiency. A ‘Whole house approach’ is a method of retrofit that considers the heating, lighting, hot water and energy used in the home and ensures any upgrades made are complimentary to one another.

We know that home retrofit can feel overwhelming, with many residents unaware of what upgrades can be made that are best suited to their properties.

About the offer:

Camden Council are offering 20 homeowners in Camden the opportunity to receive a home energy survey and plan at a heavily subsidised rate of £140 (usually £600).

The survey and plan will be completed by our partners at Ecofurb, to identify suitable improvements and how to sequence them. The plan will make it easy to see how you can save on energy bills and carbon emissions, and how much the works is likely to cost. Depending on what you are wanting to install, Ecofurb can also connect you with qualified installers. More information is available here: https://www.ecofurb.com/termsThe council can also signpost you to grant opportunities to help you fund the works.

If you’re interested in receiving a discounted plan, please fill in the short application form below.

Please note: There are a limited number of home surveys available. Should the offer be oversubscribed, the Council will look to allocate plans across a variety of locations in the borough with differing housing types, with the intention of providing case studies of energy efficiency installations occurring in Camden.
