Overview

Transport for London (TfL) is proposing to introduce a new cycle hire scheme in partnership with the nine central London boroughs and the Royal Parks in the Zone 1 area of central London. The scheme will allow you to collect a bicycle from a docking station, use it for travel purposes, and then return it to any docking station. The scheme will offer an innovative addition to London's transport network.

A new bicycle docking hire station is going to be built on Endsleigh Gardens near its junction with Upper Woburn Place. As part of this project, some complementary measures have been considered to increase the number of cycle routes to the docking stations, and to improve cyclists’ safety.

Why your views matter

We would like to get your views on the complementary measures we are proposing for the Camden Cycle Hire Scheme.

We are proposing to implement a new contra-flow cycle lane on Endsleigh Gardens, between Endsleigh Street and Upper Woburn Place.

The proposed measures are:

  • new road markings (cycle logos) along Endsleigh Gardens; and
  • a short section of green surfacing on Endsleigh Gardens near its junction with Upper Woburn Place to increase drivers’ awareness of the presence of contra-flow cyclists.
