Highgate Neighbourhood Plan
Overview
Highgate Neighbourhood Forum has submitted their proposed Neighbourhood Plan to Haringey Council and Camden Council, in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012.
We are consulting residents and interested stakeholders on this proposed Plan.
Why your views matter
A Neighbourhood Plan is a statutory planning document setting out planning policies for the development and use of land in the area. The Plan sets out a range of policies on matters including design quality, green and open spaces, retail and transport. There are also a number of policies relating to individual areas and sites in Highgate. The Neighbourhood Plan, if approved, will be used, alongside council policies in making planning application decisions in the neighbourhood area.
What happens next
The Councils will, in consultation with the Forum, appoint an examiner to determine whether the Plan meets the relevant legislation and regulations.
If the examiner approves the Plan, the Councils will arrange a referendum to ask local residents if they agree that the Plan should be used in making decisions on planning applications in the designated Highgate neighbourhood area.
