Overview
We are seeking your views on the Council’s proposals to convert residential parking bays and single yellow lines into School Keep Clear yellow zig zag markings to support the redevelopment of the French School at 87 Holmes Road.
The proposed changes are indicated on the drawings in the attached leaflet and include the following:
♦ Removal of 25m of resident parking bay (approximately 5 spaces) on Cathcart Street and replace with School Keep Clear markings with yellow zig zags;
♦ Replace 10m of single yellow line marking on Cathcart Street and replace with new school bus bay;
♦ Removal of 25m of single yellow line on Willes Road and replace with School Keep Clear markings with yellow zig zags;
♦ Install loading and waiting restriction signs operational from 8 until 9.30 and 3 until 5;
♦ Install new school crossing signs.
Why your views matter
We need your views as this consultation exercise is intended to find out if there is broad public support for the proposals set out in the attached leaflet.
What happens next
While it will not be possible to reply to you individually, all comments will be taken into account. The Assistant Director of Environment and Transport will make a decision whether or not to proceed with
the scheme and you will be informed of the outcome of this consultation and the Council’s decision within three months, where possible.
