HS2 consultations on compensation and safeguarding

Closed 31 Jan 2013

Opened 25 Oct 2012

Overview

HS2 have published two new consultations. The Safeguarding consultation is about seeking to protect the proposed railway from conflicting development.  It identifies the areas of land over which HS2 must be consulted on any development proposed.

The Property and Compensation Consultation seeks views of the range and type of consultation which should be paid to affected residents, businesses and communities. It also seeks views on how the different compensation systems should operate.

The HS2 Consultation website includes full details of both consultations, including all relevant consultation documents, maps and factsheets.
