Why your views matter

LBC has been allocated £2.2 million from the DCSF to develop 29 stimulating, inclusive and safe places to play throughout Camden.  Twelve unique natural play areas were completed in year 1, another 16 and a new adventure playground will be ready by April 2010. 

Working to the principles of “place-shaping” and “natural play”, play areas will be redeveloped to improve play opportunities, primarily for 8-13 year olds.  This project sets out to improve children’s and young people’s opportunities to enjoy the full benefits of play and informal recreation through the use of public space.

This consultation looks to get specific views on proposals for natural play on housing land on the Denton Estate.  The engagement process aims to ensure that young people and local residents are fully involved in the design; implementation and future evolution of the play area.
