Camden STEAM Commission Survey
Overview
Camden is launching a STEAM Commission to raise aspirations and improve access to the great opportunities for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) careers within the borough. The Commission will celebrate the relationships between the borough’s unique blend of STEAM businesses and local schools, as well as exploring opportunities for greater collaboration.
Opening with a week-long series of events from 29th June, the Commission will bring together a range of school leaders, industry experts and research organisations. They will examine how the Arts and creative industries contribute to the growth of a more vibrant STEM sector. The Commission will also be looking to understand how schools and industry can work together to ensure young people, and particularly those from disadvantaged groups, are better able to access STEAM careers.
Presenting its findings later in 2016, the Commission will draw on the expertise of its members, together with the knowledge and experience of those in education and business. As part of a preliminary call for evidence, we are looking to understand more about the existing work happening locally between STEAM businesses and schools and where there are opportunities for further development.
We would be grateful to hear your views through the following brief survey. Please also click here for further details of the STEAM Commission events and how you can be involved.
