Uri lift consultation

Closed 13 Mar 2014

Opened 24 Feb 2014

Overview

Camden council intends to install three uri lift “pop up” urinals in the Camden Town area. This is in order to reduce the level of night time economy patrons urinating in public areas and near/on people’s homes and to provide better public conveniences for night time economy patrons.

These urinals will be underground and not visible during the day. They will be raised on a Fri and Sat night between 10pm and 4am (with the flexibly to change these hours if required).

Attached is a map in detail showing the proposed uri lift sites, and a visual example.

We are consulting with all residences in close proximity to these sites as well as a number of other interested stakeholders, and other interested parties, over a period of two weeks. This period will run until Thursday 13 March.

Please tell us what you about this proposal by emailing Michael.Hrycak@camden.gov.uk,  Community Safety team by Thursday 13 March 2014.

The consultation will also include an open “drop in” meeting at Castlehaven Community Centre, 21 Castlehaven Road, London, NW1 8RU on Friday 7 March between 3 to 6pm.  Everyone who wishes to express their views in person are welcome to attend.
