Help us improve the housing options for older people in Camden (Camden Town Hall)

Event overview

Camden Council is reviewing the sheltered housing service, and we want to hear directly from the people who know our homes and communities best. We’re looking for residents to take part in a series of small focus groups to help shape our housing and support offer for older people in Camden.

This is an opportunity to share your views on what good homes for older people should look like, what matters most to you as you grow older, and how we can support residents to live safely, independently, and with dignity.

We are particularly interested in the extent to which our existing sheltered housing offer is an attractive housing choice and how it could be improved to support more Camden residents in later life.

Who can get involved?

We are looking for residents who:

• Are over 60 and currently live in Camden in general needs housing.
• Are willing to share honest views and personal experiences in a supportive and respectful group setting.
• Want to help shape better homes and services for older people in the borough.

Whether you’re very familiar with sheltered housing or have never thought about it before, your voice is important. We want to understand perceptions, concerns, aspirations, and what would make sheltered housing a positive option for the future.

How can I get involved?

The focus groups will be relaxed, friendly conversations guided by an independent facilitator (HousingLIN). You don’t need any specialist knowledge—just your lived experience and your views.

Residents who take part will receive a £10 Love2Shop voucher as a thank‑you gift for their time.
