Overview

Camden Apprenticeships provides a free bespoke recruitment service to the Council and other local employers to support them in appointing apprentices. This award-winning service includes assistance in recruiting new apprentices to the organisation, or advice for managers in understanding how they can use apprenticeships to upskill existing staff.

Apprenticeships are suitable for roles of all levels, from entry to senior level, and are open to people of all ages 16-65. Apprenticeships can be offered to new starters to an organisation, or as professional development opportunities to the existing workforce.

Our service is available to Camden Council teams, and is also free to Camden schools and local employers.

What does our service offer?

  • Information and guidance on how apprenticeships work, how to manage an apprentice and how to get started
  • Advice on the type of apprenticeship that might be suitable within your team, whether for a new starter or an existing member of staff
  • Sourcing an appropriate training provider to deliver apprenticeship training that meets your requirements
  • Advertising, screening and shortlisting the best range of candidates for you to interview for the post
  • Free training to all new managers of apprentices
  • Advice on request in relation to any aspect of the apprenticeship, including training, performance and pastoral issues
