Camden Clean Air Action Plan 2027-2030
Your experience of air pollution in Camden
What do we mean by 'air pollution' and 'air quality'?
When we talk about air pollution, we mean harmful gases, tiny particles (dust) and chemicals in the air that can directly harm our health.
This is different from carbon dioxide (CO₂) and greenhouse gases, which cause climate change but do not affect our health in the same way as air pollutants. You can see what we're doing to tackle the climate crisis in our recently published Climate Action Plan 2026-2030 (Camden Climate Action Plan 2026-2030).
Air quality tells us how clean the air is in a particular place. Good air quality means the air is generally safe and healthy to breathe. Poor air quality means the air has too much air pollution in it.
