Estate parking changes

Closed 19 Dec 2022

Overview

We want to hear your views on proposed changes to how we deal with parking on Camden Council's housing estates.

Why your views matter

People parking in an inappropriate and inconsiderate way on our estates often block roads and pavements, making it difficult and unsafe for people to move around as well as stopping rubbish trucks getting through.

In some cases, unsafe parking has stopped fire engines and ambulances from getting to emergencies on our estates. What’s more, some of you have told us that if you have a parking permit, it is becoming more difficult to find a space to park.

That’s why we’re running a consultation on changing the way we enforce parking on estates, meaning that we will be able to tackle dangerous and inconsiderate parking and create a fairer system of parking for those people that need it the most.
