Estate parking changes

Overview

We want to hear your views on proposed changes to how we deal with parking on Camden Council's housing estates.

Why your views matter

People parking in an inappropriate and inconsiderate way on our estates often block roads and pavements, making it difficult and unsafe for people to move around as well as stopping rubbish trucks getting through.

In some cases, unsafe parking has stopped fire engines and ambulances from getting to emergencies on our estates. What’s more, some of you have told us that if you have a parking permit, it is becoming more difficult to find a space to park.

In November 2022, we asked for your views on proposed changes to parking on Camden’s estates. We had over 900 responses to the consultation with the majority of people in favour of the introduction of Traffic Management Orders to improve the way we control estate parking. You can read the full consultation report here.

As part of the next stages, we have produced updated parking proposals for the first group of estates that we think will benefit from the changes. We understand that Camden’s estates are all different, so your feedback is essential to help us create parking arrangements that best meet the needs of each location.
