Overview
Due to ongoing construction works, Goods Way has temporarily been made one way east-west for through motor traffic, with cyclists permitted to travel in both directions along the whole length of the road.
For more information on the proposed changes view the plans and information sheet in the related documents below.
Why your views matter
It is Camden’s proposal to make the current one way system permanent and maintain the benefits to pedestrians and cyclists that this arrangement offers.
To reduce the number of service vehicles having to navigate the one-way system around Kings Cross Station, passing areas of high pedestrian activity, it is proposed to maintain a two-way arrangement between the Kings Cross Station service road and York Way (route currently used by construction traffic). This will allow service vehicles to turn right out of the service road and access York Way efficiently.
What happens next
Your views, and those of everyone who contributes to this consultation, will be analysed and considered, alongside relevant data available on the scheme and in light of how the scheme aligns with our current policy objectives, in order to put forward recommendations on whether to proceed with the proposals. A summary of this analysis will be provided in the decision report, and will be made available on the Camden Council website in due course.
