Vesage Court - roof, windows and fire safety works
Overview
Works to 1-120 Vesage Court were placed on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as a result we halted the scaffold works and cleared the site in March. The works to Vesage Court are a priority to the council and we are committed to replacing the single glazed windows, the flat roof and to complete the essential fire safety works.
Our contractor, Morgan Sindall (MSPS), has manufactured the new double-glazed windows, fire doors and signage. They have also procured the scaffolding, access and roofing materials and are ready to start works in June 2020.
We have worked with MSPS to agree an approach to resume works taking into account Public Health England (PHE) guidance relating to COVID-19. This includes social distancing, the use of Personal Protective Equipment and washing of hands.
Your safety is paramount to us during these works. MSPS are currently finalising their risk assessments and method statements to ensure the safe delivery of the works. Once we have received their submission, made our observations and recommendations and received sign off from PHE regarding the approach to delivery; we will be sharing the approved ways of working with yourselves.
We want to hear from you
We are keen to hear from you, so we can understand any concerns you may have in relation to the delivery of the works at this time. Where possible concerns will be mitigated within the method statements and we will aim to ensure that concerns raised are replied to.
To share your views, please complete this online survey by 25 May 2020.
We will analyse and summarise the feedback, passing it on to our contractor for consideration. Once all clarifications and sign offs are completed, we will share the final approach, policies and risk assessments with residents; to allow you to have peace of mind about the works to your home.
