Wellbeing Walk Survey

Overview

Help shape our ideas for a new Wellbeing Walk in Bloomsbury

In 2015, Urban Partners launched the Wellbeing Walk route on the northern side of Euston Road. This is a safer, less polluted and calmer route for people walking from/to Euston Station and King’s Cross and St Pancras Stations.

We're now looking into creating a complementary walk on the southern side of Euston Road. 

The proposed route would run from St.Chad’s Place through Argyle Square, Bidborough Street, Woburn Walk to Gower Place. 

By creating this Wellbeing Walk we want to:

1. Provide a safer environment for pedestrians by creating a route with less traffic and better air quality
2. Improve the look and feel of the streets along the proposed route and make it easier for pedestrians to travel;
3. Improve safety for pedestrians in these locations

We'd like to hear your ideas for improvements on the streets for the Wellbeing Walk (south). This could include some of the ideas below. You can see some photo examples of some of these ideas at the bottom of this page.

• New plants and trees, parklets or rain gardens.
• Road safety improvements
• Pavement improvements and widened areas of pavement
• Furniture like benches and chairs
• Changes to calm traffic
• Using parking spaces in different ways - like mini parks
• Dockless bike and scooter hire bays
• Cycle storage hangars
• Better cycling facilities
• Better signage to help people find their way – the stretch of the walk between Euston Road and King’s Cross and St Pancras stations would be developed in collaboration with Urban Partners.
