Window works at Jeygrove Court and Greville Street – residents feedback wanted
Overview
In April of this year, Morgan Sindell sent letters to all residents at Jeygrove Court and Geville Street requesting access to measure the windows to allow us to manufacture them. Regrettably, only three properties allowed them access.
In preparation to undertake the works, the London Borough of Camden (LBC) were required to gain a licence from the freeholder of the building. This licence provides a very short window within which the works can take place. If we cannot undertake the works within the set timescale, both LBC and the contractor will be subject to severe penalties.
For our contractors to be able to progress the window works at Jeygrove Ct. and Greville St., they will need access into all properties within the next three weeks. If access is attained, we can move forward with manufacturing your windows and will aim to replace the windows thereafter.
In order to fit the windows we will need to erect a full access scaffold to the inner aspect of the building. Should we not be able to fit the vast majority of the windows within the current work programme; it will not be viable to erect this scaffold and to undertake these works. We therefore will require access to the majority (if not all properties) to make this programme of works worthwhile.
We are therefore seeking residents’ views on whether they will provide access at this time to undertake the surveys and subsequent window installations. If residents would prefer to defer the window works to a later date, then we will remove them from the current planned works programme. We will however continue to progress with the other works proposed including the new fire rated front entrance doors, communal decorations (at both Jeygrove Ct. and Greville St.) and roof replacement works at Jeygrove Ct.
Your feedback is important to us
We have worked closely with Public Health England and our contractor Morgan Sindall to ensure we keep residents and staff safe; both inside and outside your home during the works. Implemented safety measures align with current government guidelines; including social distancing, self-isolation and regular hand washing.
