Easy questionnaire - Changes to Camden’s rules about adult social care contributions
Overview
What is this questionnaire about?
This questionnaire is about our rules about contributions for care and support
We want to know what you think about our ideas to change our rules about contributions for care and support
We want to make these changes so that we can continue to help those people who most need our help
The ideas are about charges for care in the community or in a care home
	This includes charges for
	• day care
	• home care
	• direct payments
	• arrangements to stay in residential care or a nursing home
	• other services that our contributions rules say we can charge for
How you can tell us what you think about the changes that are being planned

You can click on the link below and fill in the online questionnaire

The consultation will run from 16 January 2017 until 9 April 2017

We will make our final decision in the summer of 2017

Our contributions rules at the moment

With the contributions rules we have at the moment, how we charge for services depends on a few different things like

		• whether you have savings over £23,250

		• if you own a property

		• if you have an income

Why we need to change the rules

The Care Act has changed the way local councils work out how much we charge people for the care they get

Because of these changes in the law, Camden has to change its contributions rules

This is so we can use the new rules to assess and charge people for services in a way that is fair to everyone
