Short breaks children and young people
Overview
Short breaks are offered by Camden Disabled Children’s Team to disabled children and young people, aged 0 to 18, and their families. They are fun activities provided after school, at the weekend and during school holidays which allow children and young people the opportunity to do something they enjoy, independently from their parents.
We think it is important to allocate short breaks in a fair way.
Why your views matter
Camden is getting less money from the government, so we have to use the money we do have very carefully.
We think that short breaks are important, so Camden short break services will continue. It is important we hear your views so we can plan together how to make the best use of our money.
We will be talking to different disabled children and young people and their families to listen to your ideas.
You can take part in this consultation by completing this survey online by 31 March 2015
or you can email us with your views at shortbreaks@camden.gov.uk
or you can come to the young people's consultation event at Kentish Town Health Centre on Monday 23 March 5 - 7pm.
What happens next
Feedback will be gathered together and added to the new short breaks statement and published in April 2015.
Any changes to Short Breaks Services are expected to happen during 2017 - 18.
