Next year, Camden Council is launching Camden Community Wealth Fund. It will provide repayable long-term finance to help people start or grow a business in Camden, and it will invest in a diverse range of businesses that want to make a positive impact on the borough.
Apply to join the Youth Panel and help us decide how we invest the first £1million into local businesses that are on a mission to create economic opportunities for young people.
Who can apply:

Anyone between the ages of 16 to 25 who lives, works or learns in Camden - or up to the age of 30 if you meet one or more of the below criteria:
- You have care experience
- You have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
- You have missed a lot of school
- You are disabled
- You have experience of the youth justice system -
You want to help other young people in Camden access opportunities to make money and bring about the change that you think is needed

No previous experience is needed
What’s in it for you?

You’ll be paid £20 per hour for your time

You’ll be reimbursed for reasonable expenses and food and drink will be provided at every workshop

You’ll learn how business investment works and get experience in the investment process

Have your voice heard and help make Camden a place where every young person can fulfil their ambitions

When the Panel is decided, panel members will decide when and how often they meet, and how long meetings will be.

Panel meetings will be accessible for all panel members – e.g. we can organise translators, British Sign Language (BSL) translators, and accessible buildings.

- Tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to be part of the Community Wealth Fund Youth Panel (Please include interests and any lived experience if you feel comfortable to do so)
- What would you change in Camden for young people? (Feel free to share any personal stories or inspirations)
- Is there anything in your background, or things you’ve experienced in life, that might have impacted your chances to find good work?
- Once you have sent it to us, we will follow up with a telephone call or message to get some additional information we need for your application.
Please can voice notes and video messages be no longer than 3 minutes.
Phone lines will be open Monday to Friday 11am – 3pm, excluding bank holidays.

What happens next
Applications for the Camden Community Wealth Fund's Youth Panel are now closed. We will be shortlisting and confirming people on the panel by the end December.
