Our priority is keeping the people who live in our homes safe. Since the tragic loss of life at Grenfell Tower, Camden has embarked on a new era of resident safety and we have been working hard to bring our 33,000 homes up to the highest standards of safety:

• Camden committed to carry out enhanced fire safety checks on every council-owned block and street property in Camden and to review and publish all fire risk assessments.
• Camden set up a Fire Safety Advisory Panel – one of the first in the country – led by tenants and leaseholders in partnership with the London Fire Brigade, and appointed the first direct of resident safety in the UK.
• The Government recognised our approach to raising fire safety standards when it allocated Camden £80 million to the safety works at the Chalcots – this represented a fifth of the entire national cladding remediation fund.  

Now we want to know what you think. This is a consultation for Camden tenants and leaseholders about the safety of your home and your building. We will use your views to build on what we have learnt over the last two years since the Grenfell fire and the safety issues that you already told us you are concerned about in previous surveys. All of this will help us to prepare for new safety law which is expected to come into force next year.
