Closes 4 Sep 2022

Introduction

From 28 July the Council is stopping making payments via cheques.  This means all future payments will be BACS unless people do not have a bank account.  If people do not have a bank account, they will be issued with a prepaid card.

We want to ensure that these changes meet the needs of all our residents so please answer the following questions.

1. What is your name?
2. What is your email address?
3. What is your organisation?
4. Has the council ever made you a payment by cheque?
5. Do you have any concerns about the decision to make all future payments to residents by BACS if you have a bank account?
6. If you answered yes to question 5, what concerns do you have about the decision to make all future payments to residents by BACS?
7. Residents who do not have a bank account will be issued with a prepaid card. They can use the card to withdraw cash from cash points or pay for goods and services, just like a debit card up to the limit issued on the card. Do you have any concerns about the decision to issue residents who do not have a bank account with a prepaid card?
8. If you answered yes to question 7 what concerns do you have about the decision to issue residents who do not have a bank account with a prepaid card?
9. Please write any additional comments you have about this change to payment methods in the box below.
