Camden Climate Action Plan 2026 -2030
Overview
We want your views on our draft Camden Climate Action Plan 2026-2030
Camden has a strong record on climate action. In 2020, we published our first Climate Action Plan after hosting the UK’s first Citizens’ Assembly on the climate crisis. Since its adoption, Camden has taken bold action and borough-wide carbon emissions have fallen by 52% since 2005.
However, the climate crisis is already affecting Camden. Recent years have brought record-breaking heatwaves and local flooding.
This new Plan sets out how the Council, local organisations, and communities can work together to cut emissions further, prepare for climate risks, and protect those most vulnerable.
About the Camden Climate Action Plan 2026-2030
The draft Climate Action Plan 2026-2030 consists of forty outcomes under seven priorities. It has been shaped across a five-month period with input from residents including young people, older people, people with learning disabilities, disabled residents and some of the original Citizens’ Assembly members as well as community groups, and businesses.
You will find the draft contents of the next Climate Action Plan here.
Please note: this is a draft version presented as a report and once finalised will be published in different, more accessible formats.
Why your views matter
We want to know how the climate crisis is affecting you, and whether our draft Plan sets the right direction for climate action. All feedback will help shape the final Climate Action Plan. You can answer as many of the questions as you like.
We will also ask for some information about you, but answering these questions is optional and any information you do provide will be treated confidentially and not shared with any third parties. We will use the data to understand how representative of the borough the responses are.
If you wish to submit any additional evidence to support your response, or require a printed copy of the Plan or consultation survey, please contact us at greencamden@camden.gov.uk.
